a mix of pet-focused offerings under one name

I’m Dr. Shea Cox, an entrepreneurial vet who loves to build and create things.

Since 2012, I’ve launched a series of pet-focused ventures—starting with Pet Hospice, the nation’s first fully integrated hospice service within a specialty hospital (sold in 2020), and later Spot, a mobile vet brand delivering affordable care at pet pop-ups.

In addition to the core business, I’ve always lumped other creative projects under whatever brand I was using. First Pet Hospice. Then Spot Vet.

Eventually, that approach stopped making sense, and I wanted a name that reflected the full mix of what I do.

So I created Mixi. Not a new company—just a better label. A single hub to house the pet-focused offerings I’ve built, and space for what comes next.
